Not really. The cops were infiltrating the clan. This guy was the expert because of his experience in a gang task force in LA, and did all of his communication in writing or telephone calls. When he was supposed to be in a meeting they sent a white cop. He managed to infiltrate and gather evidence on a huge number of clan organizations and structures. Pretty damn ingenious IMHO. (Not to mention the embarrasment to Klan members.)
